Celebrate the magic of Christmas with the Two Trees Jazz Project, featuring the timeless holiday music of legendary jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi, whose unforgettable compositions have brought A Charlie Brown Christmas to life for generations.

Founded in 2012 by Ventura keyboardist Franklin Murphy, the Two Trees Jazz Project brings together some of the area's finest musicians for an evening of jazz, holiday cheer, and Christmas spirit.

Franklin has spent decades performing with numerous bands throughout Southern California and has been a longtime fixture on the stage at The Grape. His connection to Vince Guaraldi's music began at just six years old, and he has continued performing Guaraldi's beloved compositions and Christmas concerts throughout his musical career. This special evening is a celebration of music that has remained close to his heart since childhood.

Joining Franklin for this festive performance is an outstanding lineup of local musicians:

🎷 Mercedes Carter – Saxophone

A familiar face in Ventura's music scene, Mercedes has performed with numerous jazz and reggae groups, bringing her expressive sound and musical versatility to the ensemble.

🎺 Noah Thomas – Trumpet

Known for his work with the Boom Duo and numerous other local groups, Noah brings his dynamic trumpet playing and creative musical energy to the stage.

🎸 Bob Gross – Bass

An exceptional bassist and one of the area's busiest musicians, Bob can be found performing with countless groups throughout the region. His rich bass lines and musical instincts provide the foundation for the evening's arrangements.

🥁 Delaun Martin – Drums & Percussion

A wonderfully versatile drummer and percussionist, Dylan brings an impressive command of rhythm and an infectious enthusiasm to every performance. His wide-ranging rhythmic vocabulary and creative playing make him a joy to watch and hear.
